User Agreement
Last updated: October 23, 2026
Scope
This User Agreement governs how you interact with Frostbloom — reading, contacting the desks, sending a story tip, a correction, or feedback. It supplements our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Editorial Policy. Where a subject is covered in more than one of those documents, the more specific provision governs.
By sending us anything, you accept this agreement. If you do not accept it, do not send it.
Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction if that is higher, to interact with us directly. Below that age, a parent or guardian must act with you.
The service, and the absence of accounts
Frostbloom requires no account to read. There is no login, no profile and no stored password. Contact and the newsletter work through your own email application, so there is no Frostbloom-side account for you to close. Anything you send us is handled under the Privacy Policy, and you may ask us to delete the associated personal data at any time: [email protected].
Acceptable conduct
You agree not to misuse Frostbloom. In particular, you must not:
- Attempt to disrupt the site, probe or test its security, access systems without authorisation, or upload malicious code.
- Send unlawful, harassing, defamatory, threatening or abusive communications.
- Send spam, bulk unsolicited messages, or automated submissions.
- Impersonate another person, or misrepresent your identity or affiliation in a way that could mislead our editors or our readers.
- Submit material you do not have the right to share — including material that infringes copyright, confidentiality or privacy rights.
- Use our contact channels for advertising, link-building or solicitation without our prior written permission.
- Circumvent access restrictions we have applied, including network-level blocks.
We read what arrives at the desks. Reaching us is a privilege these rules protect — for you, for our other readers, and for the people our reporting covers.
Submissions: tips, corrections and feedback
If you send us a story tip, correction, question or feedback, you grant Frostbloom a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual licence to use, reproduce, adapt and publish it to improve and support our reporting. You keep the rights in what you send.
We will not publish your personal details without your consent. If we quote a tip, we attribute it the way you asked — named, pseudonymous or on background — unless you tell us otherwise, or unless revealing it is necessary to correct a published error.
Sending material does not oblige us to publish it, respond, or act on it. We answer what we can, and we review every correction request.
Accuracy and legality of what you send
You confirm that anything you send is, to the best of your knowledge, accurate; that you have the right to send it; and that it does not infringe any right or break any law. You are responsible for your submissions.
Corrections we act on are published transparently, as our Editorial Policy sets out. If a correction changes a report in substance, we say what changed.
No professional reliance on reader material
Material sent by readers reflects the sender's own account. We verify against primary sources before publishing, and reader submissions alone are never treated as independent confirmation.
Reporting a problem
To report a violation of this agreement, abusive contact from another reader, or content you believe infringes your rights, write to [email protected]. We review every report and act where the report is substantiated.
Enforcement and termination
We may restrict or terminate your access to Frostbloom — including at the network level — at any time and without liability, if we reasonably believe you have breached this agreement, or if continued access would harm the site, our readers or our legal obligations.
Enforcement is proportionate to the breach: a warning where a warning will do, restriction where it will not. We are not obliged to give advance notice before acting.
Provisions that by their nature should survive survive termination — including the licence you grant in your submissions, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law.
Changes to this agreement
We may revise this agreement at any time. The date shown in the site footer reflects the last revision. Material changes will be announced on the site before they take effect. Continuing to interact with us after a revised version takes effect means you accept it.
Governing law
This agreement is governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales (sitting in London) have jurisdiction, on the same terms as our Terms of Service. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the mandatory protections of the law where you live.
